This blog has been going for a long time and in the early days it was a mixture of Personal updates and technical updates.



Lately tho its become more technical and less personal as I have usually contained my personal updates to my [Facebook Profile](https://facebook.com/mikeysee) and my [Instagram Account](https://www.instagram.com/mikeysee/).

But I thought its okay to do a personal update every now and then and theres been some major milestones happening in the life of Mike Cann of late..

# Mike The Australian

Well I cant remember if I ever actually blogged about this but 6 years ago I moved to Australia to be with my beautiful girlfriend Kelsie who lives here. Well a lot has happened in the intervening years and as of a few months ago I am now official Australian Citizen :)

# Mike The Outdoors Enthusiast

I have fully embraced the Australian lifestyle and now make the most of every opportunity I can to get outside and do various activities.

My current passions are Kitesurfing, Freediving and Electric Skateboarding :)

# Mike The Father (to be)

Last but not least in December we had some incredibly special news that I am to become a father for the first time.

Its a boy and its due in early June and I couldn't be more excited / apprehensive :)

Last May I took off on a journey of a life time to the Americas. In 8.5 months I [visited 16 countries](https://www.mikecann.blog/travel/the-trip-2013-the-stats/). Along the way I had the good fortune of meeting a [special lady](https://www.mikecann.blog/uncategorized/the-trip-2013-guadalajara-to-mexico-city/). We travelled together for 5 months, virtually every second of every single day was spent together.



So I was surprised when she invited me to come live with her in Australia. She must be mad I thought to myself. Still, I had better go over there and find out if she has actually lost it.

Well guess its fortunate that Australia is the top of my "to visit" list. So I thought to myself what better way to check out this huge continent than with a beautiful, smart and funny lady who I guess is partly insane too.

As for what ill be working on while im over there, I have some freelance work lined up but my real passion is games so I plan on working on an indie game or two while im out there. Thats until the remaining of my saving last and I have to get a job or more likely she finally gets fed up of me and sends me back to England!
